WEXT Calendar is Here!

Our lengthy project with the WEXT calendar & Julia Zave Photography is finally in our hands. We are so thrilled to have this baby hanging in the studio. With months of planning side by side with Julia Zave, the project developer & photographer we can proudly share our hard work. Working with twelve different bands & artist can call for a lot of prep time & finagling schedules. Starting shooting in September & ending in November calls for us to put our feet up a relax....While we were busy relaxing the calendar was off to the press. With a mention in the Times Union about the upcoming release of the calendar. We were all patiently awaiting the arrival of this goody. Pick up your copy today.

WEXT Calender-Stylist Gig

October has been a creative venture outside the studio and behind the scenes on set. Julia Zave of Julia Zave Photography approached me to join her crew for a close to heart project for her. The project is a 12 month calender for WEXT 97.7 with a mixture of local based artists & bands. Here is the behind the scenes scoop on which artist are in the calender....

Shoot No.1-  Molly Durnin

The Photog Julia Zave setting light for the Tree House (yes I said TREE HOUSE).

Shoot No.2- Eastbound Jesus

Imagine an ambandoned railyard in the depths of Western New York. Five lovely rugged men not afraid to rock the work mans look.

Shoot No.3- Maryleigh Roohan

Stylist color concoction for a quirky projection image shoot. This one is packed with objective color.

Shoot No.4- Mike Poulopoulos

In celebration of his new album release, Harvest The Heart. Mike decided to share his first tattoo experience with us and the world. Choosing his album cover image as his first tatt. The image was initially created by Nick Reinhart of Miss Dixie's Tattoo & Pin-up Parlour just for the album cover, then Mike decided to lay that  image into his pores.

Shoot No.5  - Stellar Young

Peering from under the gigantic LED balloons into the Stellar Young crew.

In November of 2011 Tiane Novati decided it was time for a fresh look. We approached our dear friend Rebecca of The Pink Orange with this task. Giving her a few details into the working of my re-branding vision, she began to create. The lovely, amazing & talented paper designer presented us with this new defining logo...

If this logo doesn't steal your heart then just check out how this beauty translates onto paper.

Holy God if you are still sitting on your seat & haven't fallen off, here is the run down of the printed details. Navy letterpress is deeply anchored into the double thick Kraft card stock & enhanced with copper foil. We can forget to mention these corner cutter wonders are a whopping 3.5' square! They are an accessory in themselves & are so deeply in love with them, thank you Rebecca!
